Once painless became strained when values and rhythm of words shifted from one another, becoming unfamiliar.
Metal wings represent sincere emotions and a desire to reach the person one longs to be close to, but they are too heavy to fly. Though the feelings were genuine, they remained grounded and unfulfilled for one or both sides.
It wasn’t the wrong person, just misaligned timing and place. Even faded connections hold meaning, for they were once true. The right person, just wrong location and timing.

‘Metamorphosis’ in Soul Cocoon reflects the beauty of healing, inspired by childhood memories of a silkworm breaking out of its cocoon. Mirroring this patient escape with my own journey of overcoming trauma, the project explores the fears of intimacy that force us to mask our true feelings. Through dream derived organic lines, idiosyncratic creatures, and distorted interiors, I externalize an internal battle. The muted palette and mutated symbols depict the uneasy search for pure comfort amid life's ambivalence.
